Explaing the cyle from the PET-Bottle to the final stamp
For the eighth time in a row, the Nexofil International Award was presented in November 2021. It is a collaboration between the traditinal spanish specialist magazine “EL ECO Filatélico” and the “NEXO Group”. This award honours the most beautiful stamps in 11 different categories of the previous year. The jury of this award is composed of independent personalities from more than 30 countries, all active in the field of philately: Philatelic experts, jurors, journalists, representatives of national associations as well as catalogue editors. Liechtenstein and Austria have reason to rejoice: Liechtenstein received 3rd place in the Most Original Stamp 2020 category, while Austria took second place in the Most Innovative Stamp category with its Kryptomarke 2.0. For the Liechtenstein brand entitled “recycling”, 3,100 PET bottles were processed into three million metres of high-quality polyester yarn with which this brand was embroidered.
