The regional championship took place in Bregenz on June 27th and 28th, 2026 – this year beautifully integrated into the “50 Years of Achsiedlung” anniversary celebration. Despite the intense heat, numerous visitors made their way to the event, creating a pleasant and lively atmosphere.

We were particularly pleased with the now traditiona
l annual reunion with our Tyrolean philatelic friends. The exhibited collections also provided plenty of conversation: Interesting and high-quality entries were on display, once again impressively demonstrating the great diversity and quality of philately. From our perspective, there was also special cause for celebration: Daniela Vogt became regional champion in the postcard category, and Clemens won the title of regional champion in the thematic category. Congratulations on these wonderful achievements!

We ourselves were represented with a joint promotional stand for four clubs and associations: the International Stamp Club Rosenegg, the Austrian Philatelic Society (ÖSVLPH), the Austrian Philatelic Society (LPHV), and the Working Group for Medicine and Pharmacy. This led to one or two interesting conversations with non-philatelists – perhaps the first step towards a renewed interest in our wonderful hobby.

All in all, it was a successful and very enjoyable event. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Bregenz Philatelic Society, especially Chairman Robert Rubenthaler and his dedicated team – and, of course, a special thank you to the women who provided refreshments on Sunday with coffee and delicious cakes. A truly warm and exceptionally well-organized event that we will fondly remember.
